In order for your to be able to receive online payments, you must sign up to a Payment Gateway. Rather than tie you in to one provider however, CannyBill gives you the option of several (with more to come very soon), so you can use whichever one best suits your needs.

Payment Gateway Categories

Payment Gateways operate in one of two ways - either On-Site or Off-Site - and both methods have their benefits. It really is a question of preference when choosing wich one to use.

Note: Be sure to test your preferred Payment Gateways while in Test Mode before taking any real transactions. Test Mode will allow you to place several test transactions for a small amounts, to ensure that the Payment gateway will accept, process, deposit and refund payments correctly.

On-Site / Auto-Bill Capeable Payment Gateways

To take payemnts, process orders and have the checkout process reside entirely within your website's Order Forms, then you will need to sign up with an On-Site Payment Gateway. On-Site Payment Gateways also have the added advantage of allowing you to 'Auto-Bill' your customers, meaning an On-Site Payment gateway is required should you offer subscription-based or recurring paid-for products or services and what to charge your customers Credit/Debit card automatically for them without them lifting a finger!

CannyBill currently integrates with the following On-Site Payment Gateways:

Note for Authorize.net The transaction key and the API login ID are provided by Authorize.net and the authorize type is: AUTH_CAPTURE

Off-Site Payment Gateways re-direct the user to a secure third party site in order to pay for and complete the transaction. Unfortunately Off-Site Payment Gateways do not allow for recurring billing, and payments must be manually paid by your customers. On the upside however, multiple off-site payment gateways can be offered in your order forms.

CannyBill currently integrates with the following Off-Site Payment Gateways:
